COVID-19 Notice

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and WAY Fund Managers Limited’s ("WFM") business continuity plan – an update on our COVID-19 response.

Whilst all legal restrictions have now been lifted, WFM is mindful about taking a cautious approach to re-opening safely and so we continue to monitor and review our COVID-19 response to ensure that we are doing everything we can to protect the safety and health of our employees and our communities whilst also ensuring, as much as possible, minimal disruption to our work and services to our Funds’ shareholders.

As a result, many of our COVID policies and procedures currently remain unchanged, for example:

  • We are still limiting the numbers of employees occupying our office, enforcing increased hygiene controls, and encouraging employees to maintain social distancing where they can.
  • Additionally, all non-essential visits to the office (including those involving external parties) and other business travel will continue to be limited. Instead we are encouraging virtual meetings to take place wherever possible.

WFM has taken the opportunity to shape how and where its employees work and so continues to trial a flexible hybrid working model for all employees. This working model means staff work flexibly between the office and remotely depending on the requirements of their role, their personal preferences, and the needs of the business, but as a minimum, attending the office at least twice a week.

Since March 2020, with the help of technology, we have experienced seamless transitions to remote working. Our systems have enabled us to work from home successfully and to provide an uninterrupted service to our Funds’ shareholders and service providers. As such, we believe that hybrid working could be an important strategy for adapting to, and thriving in, a new working environment created by the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as demonstrating a commitment to supporting a positive work-life balance for our staff.

Despite the Government’s announcement that, with effect from 24th February 2022, all legal COVID-19 restrictions, including self-isolation requirements, are lifted, it is likely that WFM will continue to carry out COVID-19 risk assessments and we are currently in the process of reviewing our policies and procedures to ensure we maintain our duty of care to our employees. We will keep our staff and Funds’ shareholders updated in relation to any changes to our working practices.

We would like to thank all our Funds’ shareholders, service providers and employees for their understanding and patience as we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times.
